El WCOOP regresa desde el próximo 5 al 25 septiembre con 73 eventos a jugarse durante los 20 días que durará el serial más importante de PokerStars, que este año tendrá un pozo garantizado a repartir de 75 millones de dólares. 

Este encuentro se caracteriza por tener tres tipos de buy in- bajos, medios y altos, con lo cual se pretende alcanzar la mayor cantidad de bankrolls. Además, para cada uno de ellos ya hay corriendo muchos clasificatorios.

Ezequiel Waigel en el Main Event del WCOOP 2018 ganó el mayor premio online del continente.

El Main Event de las WCOOP estará dividido en dos precios el 22 de septiembre, uno de US$55 con US$1,25 GTD, mientras que habrá otro de US$5.200 con US$10M GTD. el  El año pasado, el evento principal lo ganó «wann2play» Flag of Países Bajos, tras dejar de runner-up al argentino Ezequiel Waigel , quien por este logro se llevó el premio online más importante de la historia latina, US$1.257.203.

Otros campeones históricos fueron Steven van Zadelhoff Flag of Países Bajos, Fedor Holz Flag of Alemania, Jonas Lauck Flag of Alemania, JC Tran Flag of Estados Unidos y Yevgeniy Timoshenko Flag of Rusia.
