Players from Argentina and Colombia had great results in the Side Events but in the Main Event things were very different. After four days of fighting, ten of the initial 2,749 players survived and moved into the final table of one of the world’s largest living events.
The Sheraton WTC at Sao Paulo saw nine Brazilians and a Chilean fight for the R$1,300,000 prize. Sebastian Ruiz was the only non-brazilian player that could ruin a verdeamarelo party that had Luiz Duarte y Ednei Carrilho as leaders. Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker was eliminated in 21st place as the last non-latin player.
