If there’s a good time to try and pull of a bluff, then it must at the final stages of the Main Event for the World Series of Poker. Of course, is a matter of having the guts to do it, but the incredible pressure you are putting on you rival can’t compare to anything else. And if you are Fedor Holz, you are perfectly aware of this fact. That is why the German tried to outplay Upeshka De Silva, who had quite the difficult choice to make at the river. He took such a long time to decide, that Daniel Negreanu, who was at the table had to call for time.
Upeshka’s call was spectacular and left the German crack’s bluff out in the open. However, the result could have been – and maybe should have been- a different one, reason why now we are hearing things like «he sucks»or «what was he thinking with that hand?».
It is worth noting that despite playing this remarkable hand, neither one of them made it to the Final Table for the 2015 WSOP, to be battled out next month, and give us the new world champion for poker.
What are your thoughts? Was De Silva’s call a good one or a bad one, regardless of the hand’s outcome?
