After two very special weeks, the section for Thursdays is back in its regular spot. And, just like every Thursday; although in the spirit of honesty, we may say like every Thursday or sometimes Friday or Saturday, we bring you a hand for the history books. One of those hands that come along once in a blue moon, but before the Black Friday hit – damn you to hell!- we would see almost daily. Just a regular everyday occurance. Today, at Remembering Railbird, we remember the amazing adventures of Phil Ivey , probably the best poker player that has ever lived, and Tom «durrrr» Dwan , who’s not even 30 yet and is already a cult legend in the world of online poker.
The situation we presented today was not normal. Generally speaking, the games had maybe six or less players, but it was strange even then, and it would still be considered strange today, to see eight players competing at the same $300/$600 Pot Limit Omaha table. It seems unnecesary to say that this were no amateurs. Aside from our protagonists, Finnish players Patrik Antonius and Ilari «Ziigmund» Sahamies were also there. The last one mentioned been a key component to the game, since he gave away around $55,000 before folding at the turn.
So, who said you couldn’tlimp before the flop?
And we leave you as always, the way we like it, TALKING ABOUT FREEDOM! Or, actually,no…we leave you Remembering Sports of All Time…
