Not so long ago, we told you that PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker would be returning to the States, and today we got another great news from the red spade room. As of October first, a series of restrictions on aid software have been put in place.
Thanks to PokerFuse we have a new revision of the terms and conditions for PokerStars, which announced the following prohibitions:
– Use of programs that simulate hands.
– Use of any reference material that is not basic in nature.
– Use of programs that analyze hands and specific situations.
– HUDs with non numerica data or dynamicaly generated via the cards or the board.
– Use of programs that allow you to know other players’cards.
– Use of adavanced ICM, equities or NASH calculus softwares.
– Use of bots that can play automatically or help make decisions.
– Use of programs that can access centralized data where you can check players’ hands.
– Exhange or pruchase of hands or datamining.
– Use of any tool or service that offers comments or advice in real time.
The main support softwares, among them Holdem Manager and PokerTracker, are already launching updated versions to comply with the terms set by the red spade room. Others, like SpinWiz, which is used by many Spin & Go players, has been forbidden.
Programs for auto seating or that place you automatically on waiting lists, continue to work on PokerStars.
These restrictive measures are straightly related to capturing a greater number of recreational players and keep the ones who are already playing. These new measures are sure to generate a buzz, and on the other hand, will sit very well with pro player Patrick Antonius , who pointed out that due to tracking software, he didn’t like his chances [online] anymore.
What do you think about this restrictions?
