The first day of the 12th PokerStars.es European Poker Tour Barcelona ended on an spectacular note after John Juanda   took a historic Main Event prize of €1.022.593 after making a deal with Steve Wardburton  y Frederik Jensen .

A total 1,694 players registered, breaking all previously established records of attendance and creating a €8.215.900 pot to be divided among the players that rank in the first 247 places in one competition. As if this wasn’t enough, the event also broke record in the online world with 502 players classifying.

The Argentine team placed 8 players, the better ranking one being Mario López  who had quite a run. Along with him, José Ignacio Barbero , Pablo Harfouche , Miguel Cieri , Jorge Arias , Diego Casco , Rafael Do Prado   and Team PokerStars Andre Akkari  also made a trip to the cash register.

The following day for the 12th season of the EPT will be held from October 20th to October 31st at the Portomaso Casino in Malta, where the Main Event will take place from October 25th to October 31st. Many of our own will be battling out in hopes of bringing the trophy home.
